Functions

Cpp::CompareExchange128

Replaces destination with desired if it still holds expected.

Syntax

inline bool CompareExchange128(
    Atomic128& destination,
    Atomic128& expected,
    const Atomic128& desired
) noexcept;

Parameters

destinationAtomic128&
The word; it must be 16-byte aligned.
expectedAtomic128&
The value the word is expected to hold; on failure it receives the value found.
desiredconst Atomic128&
The new value.

Return value

Type: bool

true if the word was replaced; false if it held something else.

Remarks

Sequentially consistent (a full barrier), as the instruction is.

Cpp::LoadLow

Reads the low half on its own (acquire).

Syntax

inline std::uint64_t LoadLow(const Atomic128& word) noexcept;

Parameters

wordconst Atomic128&
No description yet.

Return value

Type: std::uint64_t

Remarks

Acquire: what was written before the exchange that stored the value is visible after it.

Cpp::LoadHigh

Reads the high half on its own (acquire).

Syntax

inline std::uint64_t LoadHigh(const Atomic128& word) noexcept;

Parameters

wordconst Atomic128&
No description yet.

Return value

Type: std::uint64_t

Remarks

Acquire: what was written before the exchange that stored the value is visible after it.
